On my W900 KW set it up so the feul comes from the tanks through the primary filter then to the feul pump,then goes on to the secondary filter (where the feul temp sensor is) and then into the head.They then route the return feul to a cooler mounted on the front of the truck and then back to the tanks.I changed this so the feul goes from the primary filter to the pump then through the cooler and on to the secondary filter and then to the head.

I cant give you an honest answer I dont know. I put the cooler on the day after I got the truck, so I dont have a base to compare it to.

haystack,do you have any temps now? I messed with this 5 yrs ago and best i could get was 15 deg drop. this thread has me thinking about trying again with bigger cooler mounted in different location. i have Cat dash display so viewing temps is easy

I dont know, but I will be home in a few days and I will figure out a way to measure the temp difference. The cooler size that I am running now is 14"x 6"x1.5", it cost almost as much as the A/C condenser, gotta love deer standing in the road in the middle of the night. The first one that i had wasnt as wide, appx. 12"x2" so far there hasnt been a noticeable difference, but it was only changed about a month ago, and I havent run in temps above 60*F. I will get some numbers for ya one way or another asap. Now you have my curiousity up on the temp differance and if it really works.

Oh, forgot to ask, would a fuel wire defeat the purpose of the cooler or would they work together since the fuel was actually cooler/more dense/more BTU's per gallon? I dont have a fuel or boost wire yet, but its an option on the horizon.

im relaying what Jas posted on this site. the wire shows ECM that fuel is 167 deg so the cooler the actual fuel temp the greater the power increase .i think without the wire the ECM adjusts for the cooler fuel resulting in no power increase.
just bought the wire but not on truck yet. the wire is what got me thinking i needed to try a cooler again. i am very interested in your results .please post when you have something. thanks -
I will just as soon as I can, if I keep getting dinked around on getting loaded and unloaded, it maybe next week, hahaha hope not but the way its going, and today is only Tuesday, ugh, what a week to look forward too.

Sorry I do not have any fuel temp. info,the truck is being painted and at this time of year the fuel should be cool anyway.I'll be glad to let you know in a few months.
