Roadside assistance is swapping it out right now. All I had to do was ask OnStar to handle it.

Was fueling, truck next lane over has a drive tire blow. Truck was under the canopy when it happened. That was loud.

Exactly. Super freaky loud. It took some lady 1.5 seconds to rush over to me squawking about “what happened! What happened!” all while I wasn’t even sure myself. I couldn’t even get my composure she on me like that fast. Then the shipper wants to immediately know how long until it’s fixed. Like I know? The outside repair dude is in no hurry to get here. Chicago too. My 14 is running down, it’s still not fixed, I’m still not loaded and I...don’t know where I can shut down in about 3 hours. Yay!

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

This story actually is a bit of an embarrassment for me to admit. It had to had been at least 25 years ago I was headed west on I 20 about 30 minutes out of Atlanta. It was about 10PM and I was half asleep. I was in the right lane and a truck passing me got right up even with me and his engine blew up. It scared me so bad I almost dirtied my underwear. I just started to pull over to the right because I thought it was me. Took me about 20 seconds to get my full wit back and see what really happened. That messed me up so bad I stopped at that old truck stop at the last Georgia Exit and went inside and had several cups of coffee.

One goes, more are soon to follow, especially if it blew at the dock. They are easy to replace, ten minute job for a mechanic or road service tech. Couple of nuts, they just slide right in.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

The shipper just said I can shut down here so I’m fine with these delays.:)
