Since the driver is doing most of the hard work company drivers should be getting paid more, like 35% of net profit. If you are an owner operator I think around 90% of the load is fair.

That sounds like a deal! You're hired! I have all the $0.50 a mile to the truck freight you can haul!

Lol! If I hauled that rate much longer I would have been paying the company. Company drivers should be getting paid a lot more. The hardest work is the truck driving part, especially on those days where you're driving 11 hours only to deliver next morning at 7am.

    You beat me to it.

I pay my driver 27% of the trucks gross before fuel and expenses.

He grosses on average between $1800 - $2600 weekly. He's had a few $3000+ weeks back in June and July.

So yeah,.. 35% of my NET? Sign on with a 2 yr contract and I'll go buy another truck right now. LOL

he failed to mention how many miles it took to make up those revenue numbers.

The old saying goes..."A 100% of nothing is still nothing ".

    I dont chase miles.

Not many miles at all. Wilder, KY to Pelham, NC Then NC to Akron.

If thats a hard week for you,.. then you need to show me how to make it easier.
