Plenty of autos in Europe too, some pretty good ones too, try the ishift

As far as syncros not lasting - that's a myth, true back in the early days like 60's and 70's but it's not the case anymore, synchros are better for rookies too, you can't miss a gear- handy coming down the Rockies your first time !

I used to ride with synchro and w/o. Really when I was begginer I prefered synchro, no I can feel no difference and I use to shift synchro like classical tranny floating gears

I prefer not having syncros. I drove an older volvo that had a synchronized 8 speed an it was ok. It was like driving a huge diesel pickup, slow shifts, somewhat heavy clutch, and it did not like floating gears. I also didn't like the disconnected feeling when shifting. You couldn't feel the gears meshing together when shifting like you can on a normal transmission.

Naziland trucks have air assisted clutches so they are very light, even more than cars!

You could not sync something that big with all the forces involved in it.

YOU are the sync machine for a heavy truck transmission. If you ever get tired of slogging a company 10 and feel trapped you can always either find a company that has a much better manual or get a auto and don't stress about it anymore.

I better not say anymore. I have always a issue or two pertaining to 10 speeds. It's one of those things I talk to companies about before even considering them for hiring. If they had them I wont sign on.

A synchronized Fuller and a hydraulic retarder on it, I would take it within a heartbeat over the non synchro Eaton and Jakes.

Our son just bought his first car. It had to be a standard, well, synchronized.
