    At your advice I bought new caps. These are one-piece, unlike the originals. So far no leaks.

    That's a bad@ss 72 you got. My brother totaled 2 of them, I had a 79. Dad has a 72 Chevelle we will restore he bought new in 1971. Guess you could say we like them.
