We make 70 cpm at the end of the day with bonuses bringing home $1700 a week as an average figure. Are you making that kind of money where you are at now?

A search of his posts shows interest in SRT...I can't see the draw of that company...

I am so far really happy I joined Danny Herman. I was really irritated at the time about sitting for 48 hours in the Lebanon, Tennessee yard over the Labor day weekend because we had a 250 mile load we picked up Saturday that couldn't deliver until Tuesday, but at least DHT was nice enough to give us 2 days of layover pay, and I got to rest in a truck that wasn't moving. Other than that I have no complaints at all about DHT. I just finished my 2 1/2 week refresher training. My trainer was a really great guy, and I consider him to be a good friend now. My last week with him we ran close to 7000 miles! My check for that one week was almost as much as I used to make in a month! I am about to head back to El Paso today after having 4 days at home, to pick up my truck, and start going solo. I'm nervous, and excited. I hope I remember everything, and I get a good Driver Manager. I requested Tim or Eric. Most of all I hope I make close to what I made driving teams, and I get the kind of miles I need every month to get my bonuses, and provide for my wife, and 2 kids.

Vic Firth and TB John Thank this.

Welcome aboard! As long as you like to run, you should have no problem hitting the 12k per month. I was averaging 3300 a week when I was solo.

You’ll learn the little quirks of dispatch, good times and places to take your 34, etc. Feel free to message me and I’m happy to answer any questions.

    cincydrivermatt Thanks this.

Are they from the Albuquerque area? I would definitely consider running teams. I at least want to try running solo first and see if I can earn enough. I know if be much happier solo but the money would be very tempting if I met a compatible person.

Question for any current drivers, I live in the Houston Tx area, With DHT not having a terminal there, would I have to leave the truck at a terminal when I go home and find my own way home for home time, Read that drivers don't take trucks home that they are left at the terminal for maintance and what not.

I live in Albuquerque, and I'll be taking my truck home unless I'm taking a week or more off.
