Prime Inc vs TMC

My company has the same standard

 

So why do you need to compare them to Prime or TMC? Can the OP go straight to your company instead?

Maybe I'm the buthead if they can.

 

We do hire fresh cdl students, but they have to be top of their class or have demonstrated high level of skills and live within 100 miles of a terminal

 

It seems like the vast majority of the good (for driver's) mid size fleets have small hiring areas around a handful of terminals and run regional. I wonder why they all have come to the conclusion the risk of driver's taking trucks home is worth the limited hiring area. I still don't know why megas don't crush these companies when we have so much freight.

But I'm not a macroeconomics guy I just hold the steering wheel and blow the air horn when kids pump their fist at me.

 

Because the megas don't control the greater majority of the freight. Companies smaller than 20 trucks do.

 

what did you net a week on average at tmc your first 6 months. I'm talking cash in yer pocket

 

I'm tugging around an ice box right now but I used to do heavy haul many years ago. I just can't seem to wrap my head around being able to pocket 5k a month at tmc hauling sewer lines and 2x4's to home depot ...and I do pocket 5k a month right now pulling reefer as a company driver and I get home every weekend but I still feel the urge to go to flatbed

 

What would that tell you? My net is going to be different from yours as my tax liability is different from you. Shouldn't ask about one's net income, the gross amount is what matters, but if you must know, i usually took home around $950 a week

 

I guess so ....well I gross 6000k where I'm at right now ....roughly 12k miles a month...those tmc guys grossing that?

 

Some are, some not even close. Really depends on the division and if they are trainers
