Smart, neither will I work for a company with driver facing camera. Linde office personnel in Springville are a phony bunch and they will fire you for the least infraction like eating while driving. Not a pleasant work environment

Walton milk hauling in Alexander ny..... Although no one has ever bothered me with I have been told that a driver had a accident about a year ago and the camera was used against him. He was apparently looking out the side window and lighting a cigarette.....the driver claimed the brakes failed. Shop got the trailer back to the yard and the glad hand rubber on the service brake side was missing.

    Missing a glad hand seal???

Talk about “epic FAIL” on that driver’s part, to say nothing of apparently being unable to light up a smoke with crashing. :biggrin_2551:

I agree 100%, that's an obivious I'm not going anywhere before I get a glad hand seal. I have come across that myself occasionally....someone else stole it. Not to mention I visually inspect trailer tires and brakes. Good thing I did, I once caught a trailer with a tire off the bead...i already made the call not to take it. I backed it into the shop and the entire brake assembly was missing. No drum, no shoes....no brakes at all. Good thing I checked.

I check visually AND I pull the spike before I leave the yard. Check brakes visually and functionally always.

You can remove Millis from this list! Only students will have cameras their 1st yr, after that
Not anymore!! As of today cameras will only be on for students their 1st yr. Experienced drivers hiring in will not have a camera facing them and drivers who've been with Millis for a yr will not either.

Can now remove JCT from this list. They stopped the program to install driver facing cameras on their trucks.
They actually listened to their drivers on this issue. Good for you JCT on listening to those that matter! May actually recommend this outfit again.
