Not that I am paranoid, but you have to be careful picking up these broken trailers. You have to call claims at the spot where you picked up the trailer and send them the pictures and you have to call shop or on-road about the issues. Otherwise, later on, you will be blamed for the damage even if your DM says you are not responsible. First they will make changes on your QC and make you do DVIR and then turn on your drivecam all the time for no reason. If I see a broken trailer, I will tell dispatch that there is no trailer and then continue looking. With Knight becoming the management, a lot has changed. I think they will allow $1500 per quarter for certain damages. Just make sure you don’t go over that.

On the gypsum account we almost all get green lights now, since we go through there everyday, and all have at least 3 level ones from said scale.
My fave was the car that ran through it at speed and got lit up.
That chase car is not for show. I've had one in front of me pulled over and one behind me pulled over. Both just barley at the end of the entrance ramp.
Anyway, yeah Vegas as usual. Had too play tour guide for family all weekend. Which for 3 women in thier early 60's they put the young tourists to shame. They checked every item on the "vegas" list.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Encinal, TX at home.
Over the years I've had discussions with numerous drivers that started with, "What's Swift really like?". Every time the conversation ended with, "Swift never lied to me."
Starting with the first video announcing the Knight takeover from that smarmy liar Kevin Knight, I can no longer say that.
However, it doesn't matter that much to me. My retirement will be complete within the month although my truck and driver will continue with Knight-Swift. That ends by January when the truck will be going to the Texas oilfields hauling sand boxes.
Enough with the ########; time to make money.

49er truck stop in Sacramento ca. Have a 1100 appt live load about 8 miles from here tcalling it at the otay mesa terminal.
Have me a load that picked up at Ross dc in shafter ca that I delivered to jb hunt in woodland ca. Short 290 mile load.
I had just went down to sleep last night when they sent me a Pre plan for the same pick-up and in hunt somewhere in Oklahoma. Approx. 1465 miles. But didn't think I could do it with the hours I had coming. So sent in a to
E I should be able to do and they said did.t fit customers needs. So woke up to the other load.
On they way to delivery the sent me a Pre plan. So I pulled over and gave it a quick glance. I was getting close on time for delivery so couldn't waste that much time. No.need..... picked up in Shasta city ca today at 1800 and delivered in bend or. Sometime on the 14th. A little over 240 miles loaded and 124 miles mt. Just kept on driving. They eventually took it off and gave me the one I am on now. A little more miles and I should be able to get it to otay tomorrow. 546 miles from right here -
I have not seen Laredo since last year.
Heck, I have not seen Ohio since last year. -
I'm at the Sumner terminal. Just got my truck back at 2100 after a bit inspection and windshield replacement.
I got here at around 1400, so at least they got me finished on the same day. They stayed late to finish up a couple trucks.
There was some talk about a lot of loads going south from here. Big surprise. But I have a home time of the 18th in MN, so the further south they send me the sooner they will need to start routing me home. -
I like the food at Road Ranger except for the tortillas that could be used for shingles. Its a nice truckstop overall and I've stayed there since they opened. I don't think I've stayed in any of the places in Laredo in a few years.

My PTA was set for 1000 this morning. At around 1030 I got 2 pplans.
The first picked up in Kent, WA at Sears and has 4 stops in ID. The second is a Clearwater Paper load out of Lewiston, ID going to Denver, CO.
That was a nice surprise as it sets me up nicely for my home time in MN.
I wish the stops were in reverse order. The first 2 are in Lewiston. -
Otay mesa terminal. Dropped this load and doing a 10 here. 16 minutes on my 11 and it's 2300. Don't want to mess with the parking at the pilot. So found a spot here on the street.
Have a pickup in Wilmington in the afternoon going to Cheyenne wy . Have to deliver b4 minute on the 16th. Think i can get it there by the 15th.
