About how many miles can a new driver out of the 10 day program expect to average per week? I graduate truck school soon and am trying to make a decision on what company to go with, thanks.

I think I have posted about this before, but I started driving back in Mid-November. On average you can get at least 2000 miles/week. I have averaged around 2200 miles/week so far and that includes hometime and a few slow weeks as well. 2 out of my last 3 weeks I had 3000 and 3500 miles.

Then I had 1500 last week :biggrin_2554: But that was due to hometime and getting stuck in LA for a few days waiting for a load. But was able to do some local work there for a few extra bucks.

    Hope that helps.

I know it's more than us solo drivers :biggrin_25525: I don't know actual numbers though. There are a couple of teams who post on here that might be able to help better than I could.

Yep. If you wanna lump freight you'll love it there. Make some extra money doing it though.

hey people, just got done talking to Roxy, and she has told me that they DO NOT have a hiring FREEZ, however they are able to be more selective on who they hire, the same with every company.
ALSO, they no longer require drivers out of school to drive 90 days before they can team drive, they will hire teams right out of school, but they will keep a very close eye on those 2 people being new tho the whole trucking world and the hours.
i wish this was available when i was in school, me and a nother guy would have jumped on that. but he's local now.
anyway, just wanted to put the update out there.

Is it easy to get a local gig with W/S, seems to me that I have read more then a few drivers on here getting local jobs pretty easy.
