40 minutes for the last 8 miles; been a while since I did this in morning rush hour.

 

Good time to roll the windows down and put some jams on and start singing in the truck like a moron. I’ll make a fool outta myself but those 17 miles will be fun...

No? I’m the only one who does that? Okay.

 

Everything gets that way after you’ve done it enough.

I’ve hauled countless hubs for windmills, 14’6” wide and 15’4” high, boring. More 336 excavators than I can count, boring. 745B haul trucks, boring.

Point is, everything gets boring after awhile. I still enjoy driving up and down the road for the most part. But what’s behind me doesn’t matter anymore, it’s all boring, the business side of it is boring anymore also.

 

You don’t even do job site direct? lol that’s a whole different ballgame. New refrigerated warehouse will get 25 loads a day for a week: Crane appointment times every half hour all day. But they all loaded the day before. And when you show up there at 6 AM All 25 loads are already sitting there staged. You look at Losing whole day for nothing.

I remember a Terrell Texas to Iowa farm delivery. 8 hours. Pretty sure I slept away 6 hours of it.
