Dark metallic blue, when he asked what color I pointed at the truck and said that color. It was so faded it was almost grey lol. He picked the color real close to the original.

You should be able to tolerate a little green. I bought a white one over Blue less miles and extended warranty. Ask for the ugly green discount. Paint fenders gold and a couple stripes like the old Road Runners And GTOs

About 2 dozen rattle cans will probably do it

I'll never understand the work trucks with $20,000 custom paint.
At the end of the day, they're making the same bacon I'm making with my crappy white volvo.
Their insurance must be twice what I pay though. More power to 'em.
BTW, if you get a $20k paint job you are obligated to get a super CB. And you have to broadcast loud and clear while speaking in tongues. Make sure you broadcast when passing on the left. And don't forget the extra lights for your trailer.adayrider, 86scotty and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I don’t think there is enough paint to make a Volvo look “nicer”

.....or a paint brush and a couple of quarts.

Depends on your ability and timeframe mostly.
I just painted my Mack last month. Went two-tone as opposed to the original black.
2k primer, sealer, base coat, clearcoat and sandblasted and painted the frame.
I had about $2500 in materials but it took me a month doing it by myself.
Paying a shop that can get it done in a week or so will be cheaper than losing $20k in revenue like I did for a month. However, I also did a lot more mechanical work during my down time that a paint shop isn’t going to work on.
My advice is to buy the truck if it’s a good deal, make money with it regardless what color it is.. and when you’ve got enough cash saved up that you can afford to take the time off, get it painted.SoDel and warrior12345 Thank this.
