I hope y'all have both seen them live. If you haven't, then you don't know what you're missing.

 

I never saw GnR back in the day but I saw them a couple of years ago after Slash rejoined the band and it was an incredible show. I really feel like I got a better show that night than what I would if I'd seen them back in the late 80s or early 90s. No Axl Rose temper tantrums and I'm pretty sure everybody was mostly sober. You could tell that everybody involved put their absolute all into giving us the best show possible.

I've been to hundreds of shows over the years. Mostly small club shows because I listen to a lot of obscure metal bands that nobody outside of the metal world has heard of. My overall favorite show, however, was Roger Waters doing all of The Wall back I think it was 2011.

Yeah I only made it to a couple of shows back then. Being in southern WV at the time and scarcely making above minimum wage at the time put a huge damper on my concertgoing. But the two that I did make it two were great. Those were Metallica (with no openers) touring in support of the Black Album, and Megadeth (supporting Youthanasia, I think) with the strangest of openers: Stone Temple Pilots. That was back when Marty Friedman played for Megadeth and was right before anybody knew who STP was.
