Do like I do. If know that parking somewhere with no coffee, just fill up my thermo and all set for wakey wakey. I thought there was coffee in the lounge at otey mesa

 

I saw a coffee machine there. Not sure if it works since I make my own

 

You're correct, it's Cajon Pass. You initially called it Cajun Pass.

 

Cajun Pass is between Orange, TX and Lafayette, LA. Its better known as the Acadian.

Pilot in Cheyenne wy doing my 10 hr . Dropped that load yesterday and have a load to pick up there going to murry Utah for a 1300 appt tomorrow.
Called to see if load was ready early,11 am appt., and said no. Call back at 0900.
Nearest truck stop is flying j I. Slc and it's always full. So thinking of staying at the final.

I was shocked at how few trucks there were coming down from WY, then I found out why.
They were all here.
Like the last Sunday I stayed here, I had to wait for security to kick out some trucks from reserved spaces so I could park.

 

Load wasn't ready till after appt. Time by 30 minutes. Called the final to see if they allow overnite parking. Said yes. So am parked by the dock. Went inside to let manager that it was me parking and that I have a 1300 appt. Said they will start at 0800 if the docks are available. Will see.
Didn't want to got to flying j knowing it and be full.

 

I delivered at a Target in SLC a while back. I was told to dock and then pull away and park the tractor to the side. As I was out of hours I was told it was OK to park there for the night. The paperwork would be in the back of the trailer in the morning.

In the morning my trailer was gone, along with the paperwork.
Some jerk took it during the night.
(and that missing BOL cast me out of accelerated pay for some time)

I went to the terminal to get another empty. While there I mentioned what had happened.
The jerk that took my trailer was burned as well. While in the inspection lane they found a cracked brake lining on that trailer and red flagged it. He lost it. (and I found the trailer in the lot, but the paperwork was not there)
I hope he was just there to fuel, just to add to his misery for being such a jerk.

I hate the Salt Lake area. Almost as much as southern CA.
No place decent to park.

 

Carlin nv at the pilot. Lowes let .E drop the trailer early. 0800. Had to take empty out of dock and put loaded one there.
Then I picked up a load in west Jordan going to Modesto ca at 2300 tomorrow. Had only 5 hrs to drive. About 475 miles from final with a fuel stop in Fernley nv..
Will have 10 hrs tomorrow to work with.
