hey billy thanks for getting back to me you misunderstood me as far as the direct tv thing went i wasnt thinking about driving down the road watching the flintstones but i figured if you was in the back trying to get some zzzzz's while your trainer was driving that you would be able to watch a little tv personally i found that no matter how many channels any of those cable services offer it jusst means there is more ##### to choose from when i say ##### i mean exactly that too....##### i like the military channel and discovery and national geographic other then that the other 400 channels dont mean crap to me oh yeah that ufc stuff is a little entertaining too
woops i hit the enter button very nice ...a run to california now i know truckers arent thrilled about going there but the landscape on the way there sure is nice is going out there something we are going to seeon a regular basis or is it going to be some time as new drivers before we start getting loads going out that way personally i can stay out a couple months at a time before i need to get some home time in the 80's when i was a roadie for the grateful dead i was out 2 - 3 months at a time and they kept us on the road most of the year seemed like the grateful dead were always on tour and if it wasnt the whole band on tour then it was jerry garcia who would go out on a tour my wife put up with it then so i doubt she'll have a problem with it now my wife just like yours is soon going to find out that i too was doing things around the house hmmm....i wonder if she'll ever admit it anyway bro...enjoy the run and hope to see you soon
when I say trip pack I don't mean the box. I mean the millis envelope that you put your paperwork in then put it in the blue box. or the box at the millis terminals.
As far as california goes the longer you stay out the better your chance at going to california. Most of the Ca loads have been coming out of east point which is next to the airport in atlanta. After you do a few trips out there it will be just like any other trip. Some of the drivers i have talked to have been complaining about having to wait for a few days on loads back to get out of california but enjoy your trip out there you never know how long it will be before you get to go back out there.
Spanky is right, alot of the drivers do gripe about it,however,5 or 6 loads that pay 2100 mls. or 1 load that pays 2100mls.= less paperwork,1 drop,70 and sunny! LOL!!! We had an appointment for Friday, got here Wednesday and unloaded and hit ready for dispatch. We should have a load today according to dispatch.
in other words you have been waiting out there for a week now? if thats the case i hope you at least had something entertaining nearby...
hey bro just started training this week up in richfield things are good and i am enjoying the class and the hotel they keep us at is decent too maybe you can shed light on how it goes once you go out with the trainer they say its 5 weeks with a trainer but now i am hearing that is a minimum do you know anymore on this ? do they try to get you out on your own or do they drag this out? just seems like this could go on for a long time if the trainer starts deciding to go home which would sort of leave you in a bad spot somewhere in the middle of whereever with no car or anything sitting in the trainers truck in his driveway wouldnt be my idea of a good time while he's enjoying his days off with his family i dont mind working and being out on the road but this would be pushing it some for instance if they had you with a trainer for 6 weeks then that trainer would earn 9 days off which would add #### near 2 more weeks to the deal seems like they dont quite tell you everything let me know how its going for you thanks a bunch in advance for your help chris
