Posted a question to Google about O/O and this forum came up. Ended up reading a 26 page post about leasing with Prime lol. Anyways, I'm a 47 year old father, husband, step father, and truck driver. Got my start almost 20 years ago at Schneider. Did one year as a company driver and one year driving for a small fleet owner leased on to Schneider. Drove for Coca Cola as a route driver for almost 15 years, and now I'm line haul with Pitt Ohio. It's a good job, but our terminal has a bunch of old timers that take all the good runs and leaves the dregs for the rest of us, which makes for a restless driver. So I'm looking into the O/O and L/O world to see what my options are. Looking forward to learning and helping any way I can!

I know some guys that have been with Greatwide for many years, so it must be ok there.
They're 0/0's there and Greatwide helped them get started. -
Great wide? Don't think I've heard or seen them before. Where are they out of?

I leased my truck onto West Motor Freight out of Boyertown PA for a year prior to getting my own motor carrier authority. They’re part of the Evans network of companies also.
If you’re looking to buy a truck and pull someone else’s trailer under their authority, I would recommend them.
Down to earth people there. I was always treated with respect by dispatch and anyone else in the company.
They pay 70% of the linehaul plus 100% fuel surcharge.
The only reason I left and got my own authority is that giving up 30% per year added up to about $50k that could be going in my own pocket.
