I agree. I find it hard to believe that after 11 years one still does not know how to figure their money. CUrrently I have a huge scab from all the scratching I have done. When I forwarded this to Jax I got a email back saying this happened some years ago but on some peoples part they did not read/interpert their contract the way it should have been taken.

Sorry but it was the first guy had no idea of where his money was going...after 11 years with them LOL. When you state that and I quote "When Landstar doesnt have enough company drivers(leased on owner/operstors) they broker it out to contract carreiers like me." I disagree there. When we post a load on the LS load board EVERYONE can see it. HOWEVER it is up to the customer by whom they want the load pulled. If push comes to shove I will start calling Approved Carriers (which is what you are) and BCO's (Business Capacity Owners). If time is running out. As far as you paying LS 2%...no comment :happy3: I will keep that under wraps. But I will say that no matter where you go or what company you haul a load for you are gonna have to pay someone somewhere something. My belief is after 3 years of doing tons of research on companies to broker with and even getting my own authoirty, LS was BY FAR the best to go with. I love the company and my firm belief is my job is what I put into it. My advice for you is if you think you are getting hoo-dooed by LS to not haul their freight and go with someone else, bottom line. I am not trying to sound mean but you seem pretty upset about "2%" which is $20.00 (and most Americans waste that much money throwing food in the trash and stuff we don't need) every day..but that's my opnion. It must not be to bad if you still take their loads ;)

Are you not glad someone is looking out for your intrest? Do you think the government is looking out for you??? Would anyone but a firm like OOIDA be able to dig into companies records and tell if they were cheating us the driver. Why would you make a remark like that? The trucking industry is the worlds most crooked business. There is a thief in every trucking company out here. We as truckers have no rights, we are not covered by any type of labor law, we get screwed everyday and no one gives a crap, and one company tries to make a difference and people like you crap down on them. YOU JUST CAN'T PLEASE A TRUE TRUCKER!!!

Whoa there big fella. There are many people that may support OOIDA's basic goals, but feel that they can be a little bit lawsuit happy at times. I myself sometimes wonder if the things they sue for are always worth it.

As for this being the "World's most crooked business", I am sure that a lot of car salesmen, boiler room mail order places, and circus fortune tellers are going to be happy to know that they are no longer on the list.

And let me take that a step further, The reason no one gives a crap is because our industry is made up of mostly left overs, people who are not educated in the least, people who sit on the throne and write gay notes on the wall, buggers on the toilet role, pissing all over the comode as to lifting the lid. Our industry is made up of trashy filthy people who could not make it in the other life and don't even know how to take a bath nor use deo. The industry will only improve and I mean only improve when the trash moves out and the more educated move in as jobs in the real world keep getting harder to find. Me I am ashamed to tell anyone I drive a truck, I am ashamed to even turn on my cb and hear the trucker talk. I am ashamed of my industry and wish there was another way to make the living I do now by owning my own truck.

I respect your opinion, but how do you change the rules at major trucking companies? Can you just ask them to change them for the better? No! You have to hit them in the only place they care about and that is there pocket. And yes we have the most crooked business out here in my opinion right next to the car sales industry.

Well, you must hang out with a different group of truckers than I do. I see occasional slight signs of what you mention, but a lot more examples that don;t fit that pattern. And reading the various posts on here I have to come to the conclusion that there must be some intelligent, thoughtful, well behaved drivers out there. Certainly, you can read many of the posts and find some signs of intelligence..

I wish I could agree with you, I am sorry you don't see the industry as it is. I have been driving truck for 15 yrs now, and I can't keep from seeing it at every truckstop I have to stop at, at every dinner table I eat from, and every stall and toilet bowl I use, and everytime there is a accident and I have to turn on that cb. I wish I could see it that way maybe my job would seem much better than it really is. Maybe the American people would start to care about the truckers if they saw it that way. Maybe we would get some labor laws like the rest of the entire industry has. Maybe they wouldn't slow us down 15 mph slower than the rest of the traffic trying to get to Wal-Mart, or make us ride in just the right lane. I could go on and on with this so I will just say this. This is my opinion and I respectfully disagree with your opinion.
