Are you looking at food service or grocery?

I know that every food service dc is different. Some pay more and some less, I assume depending on cost of living? I do know for a fact that Denver pays a lot more per case than we get here. But it’s all component pay-case/mile/stop.

The money is there. Tomorrow’s check puts me over $75k for the year.

 

Basically you do the work and they pay you the following Wednesday.

 

Pays better than throwing beer, I can say that. Lol

 

That’s a 100k pace you got going there.

 

Have a friend there prepare to work your ### off, deliver at Hardees at 3 in the morning..hump up and down the ramp for an hour drive to next location, repeat..if you wanna be home more this may be the job for you..see them constantly looking for drivers

 

Personally I’d stay away from food service, unless you want to be on disability when you’re 45.. so many trucking jobs out there where you make good money and you work waaay less

 

I’ve seen plenty of 55+ people still doing Foodservice. I’ve seen Linehaul Drivers forced to retire in their mid 50’s cause of their back giving out just by working linehaul. They slip and fall and because they don’t strengthen their bodies or use it and it becomes fragile. They tend to get injured easy. Buddy doing linehaul jogged across the parking to get out of the way of a truck snapped his Achilles. He was in his mid 30’s. He’s a linehaul driver. Another guy I know has two bad knees that needs 2 knee replacements from weight gain doing linehaul for 15 years he’s only 50 and weighs 350 and on every heart med known to man. Another buddy who is in his late 40’s doing night linehaul for 20 years and he weighs 400lbs and on all kinds of meds. My other friend at O.D. doing linehaul who lost weight before OD but fell off the wagon is now weighing in at 300lbs+. My other buddy doing frac in the oilfield weighs in at 330lbs. Not many 300lb’ers doing Foodservice.

Yes the more physical work injuries come into play. But I personally think when you do nothing it can hurt your body just as bad. Worse cause of weight gain factor of just driving especially if your a night driver and don’t watch your diet. Night goes against your bodies natural cycle. Kills your metabolism. If you just drive and do nothing physical at night your screwing your self up. A Foodservice guy is most likely gonna have better cardiovascular heart then a guy who just drives and sucks down 44oz soda to stay awake.
