I moonlighted in a Advance auto years ago and I was amazed what passed for parts counter people. A guy came in with a bearing out of a trailer and the "parts person" told the customer we don't carry that kind because it wasn't in the computer. When I knocked the dust off the book and cross referenced the part # off the bearing to the brand we had and pulled it off the shelf.. The "parts guy" was amazed you could do that. Couldn't believe that a parts counter person had no idea how to use a parts book. If it ain't in the computer most are lost!!!

I knew something hit me tonight but couldn’t figure out where until now. Just west of St. Cloud a chicken hauler was passing me when I heard and felt a hell of a bang. I looked over and there sparks and shrapnel flying everywhere. I felt something hit my truck and I smelled diesel fuel so I pulled over right away but couldn’t find nothing wrong with my truck so continued on my way. I sure know that lol!!!

Went to the local Advance years ago for a set of points. They had a sign saying "Now stocking Motorcycle parts"

Me: need a set of points for a 75 XLCH Harley.

Parts guy: we don't carry those.

Me: mmm ok, how about for a 71 Super Beetle?

Parts guy: nope, out of stock.

Me: how about points for a 1968 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 6 cylinder?

Parts guy: uhhhhh yep I got them!!

Me: ok let me have them thanks

Me: Do you know what these have in common with my Harley and a Super Beetle?

Parts guy: no not a clue.

Me: all 3 vehicles use the same points.....

    Parts guy: :eek:o_O:eek: really?!!!! Wow!!!
