yeah go and explain AZDOT or CHP idiots why I had pc after 11 hours of driving. In this case I can say I was in the truck stop and I was trying to find a parking. I was not on public highway.

With any luck, the 30 requirement might go way relatively soon. Trucks stops and drivers and carriers are fed up with all the BS this causes unnecessarily, and I assume they are complaining to the powers in Washington who can fix stupid laws.

Yup... This isn’t about getting anything done. It’s about favorable places to masturbate.
Don’t worry about finishing. Just worry about breaks.

More than one way to skin a cat. Yard move would work, but if you got stopped maybe not. Listen to this, short 3 minute video right from FMCSA, pay particulate attention to Proper Use Of Personal Conveyance bullet one, even if driver runs of of hours, that is the whole purpose of PC. Stop on shoulder, go off duty, switch to PC go to nearest rest area.

I run Big Road, pretty happy with it. Every once in a while it will lock up and get slow as molasses.

the bullet one does not say if you run out your time you can switch to off duty driving and drive to nearest truck stop. it says you can go to nearest truck stop from shipper and receiver.

Funniest thing about HOS is it’s not the same for all trucks.. we loggers in CA are on California AG HOS, which means we can work 16hrs a day, 12 hours of drive time, only require 8 hours to reset clock and aren’t required to take a 30.. I honestly don’t know how a state which makes you drive 55 because any faster is “unsafe” but I can work from 3am-7pm, come back in at 3am and do it all again..
