One of their drivers drove one of their trucks into the California state capitol, doing lots of damage to the building and also killing the driver. The state of California sued Dick Simon Trucking into oblivion, claiming that they knew about the driver's psychiatric troubles when they hired him. The CEO of Swift bought the remnants of Dick Simon Trucking and renamed it Central Refrigerated Freight, and then eventually sold the company to Swift. I'm sure you've noticed Swift trucks pulling Central reefers. That's why.

I'm not sure who owns the new Simon Transport, but the city on the door is still Salt Lake City.

I live in central West Virginia. All the good shows that are close to me are in Cleveland, Columbus, or Pittsburgh.

I miss living in Atlanta because of all the shows, and Cartersville is a bit too far away from all the venues to take an Uber down when I'm around and there's something good in town.

So let’s talk Millis insurance or the most horrible excuse for health insurance I’ve ever seen!!
It’s one step above having nothing. Actually nothing would be better you might get better.
    Deductible is ridiculous.
    Total weekly is 112 for this c. R a p!!!!
This company has what 1000 1500 employees? It can’t negotiate with a top name for cheap?
My previous employer had BCBS 2700 out of pocket max. 80/20 from day one which 1300 is deductible. After 2700 it’s 100% that place had 224 employees.
My wife had a 83000 operation last year and 3 follow up ones after that same year
    2700 for me.
It cost me 79 per week.
Humalog syringe type 35 with insurance discount.
Millis should be Ashamed of themselves with garbage excuse for insurance.
Pre approval letter every time? What junk.
I’m really pissed sorry for this rant my wife needs cat scan and healthcare for last years problems but I can’t its 3500 they want 1750 up front!!
I’m sure the Millis boys can afford that they have six figure bank accounts. I can’t
And with Obamacare hardly any company sells insurance to an individual.
If anyone that knows how to negotiate this
Garbage insurance bettercthen me please I’m all ears. She needs care, I feel I’m paying 112 per week and it covers nothing until I dish out thousands more.
Let me add, this is the ONLY problem I have with this company. I actually really like Millis
Treats you great does a lot of good things for drivers. Great money and fringe benefits but the most important expense to a person is healthcare and sadly they drop the ball BIG time

If you find an independent radiology, you can get a scan scan for around 500.
I needed surgery on my elbow a few years ago, and my deductible was 5k. Needed the scan in December, couldn’t get cut until January, so I found it on my own because the deductible is by calendar year.

Overall I would have to agree, loved my time at Millis overall but the medical is bad, and at least in my case, nobody I dealt with ever heard of 3P, which kind of added to the hassle.

In the big picture you may need to find a different company to get the medical you need to have, I don't see anything big changing on that front anytime soon, if ever.

Cut the metal part, not the wire, leave quarter inch or less between cable and cutters. After cutting you should have 3/4 metal hanging from one cable and 1/4 hanging from other side. Pull smaller side through hole in door handle. Takes 30 seconds or less.

When I left and had to get insurance, I found out exactly why noone ever heard of 3P. They aren't an insurance company. Millis is self insured. 3P is just some kind of fund management company. Don't remember the exact words the woman I talked to used, but it was someone who worked at 3P. I had to list my prior insurance to prove no gap in coverage. Not exactly sure how my agent ended up listing it, but I know it was a headache for her.

Exactly. All of those insurance bills generated by the employees making claims are paid directly from the Millis coffers and managed by 3P. Vision and dental too.

Trucking is my 2nd career. I'm retired from a city here in NY and they did it the same way. Only difference is Blue Cross Blue Shield managed it and everyone has heard of them.
