Swift Sucks

The 23rd this month I'm headed to Ocala.

 

Great timing, Macho! That's the day I go for my orientation with Interstate! Two days, paid $75 per day and they pay for lunch each day. Pretty nice of them. I hope you have fun with yours. I think they are still doing 3 days. That's what mine was 2 years ago in Sumner, WA. Lots of paperwork and hard to stay awake. LOL. I am sure all orientations are the same in that manner.

 

Yep 3 days orientation and then the mentor 6 weeks. Everything will be ok I have learn that you can do anything you put your mind to do and stay focus on the goal. Who are you going with orientation.

 

Darn right! You'll have fun. The six weeks will seem to take forever until about week 2 1/2. It will go a bit faster after that. Enjoy your time, have fun and don't be afraid to speak up if you're not comfortable with something. If your mentor is sleeping and you're not sure about something: Wake him up! If he gets upset about that, you should have a different mentor. Sounds like he will be good with that, though.

 

Our former safety director once called me into the office cause someone had called in a complaint on me. I asked him did i get a ticket or hit something? Before he answered I walked out of his office.

they let over 1,000 people (office staff) go two weeks ago without any warning

He let those 1000 people go because they did not their ####### job. Jerry went to the terminals and checked on thoses lazy suckers and fired them and I am really thankfull for that

 

Your going to see the HOUSE CLEANING hit more than just SWIFT.

Loads of dead wood in the offices / shops of the major carriers

 

I received a letter today stating that my license will be suspended. So I went to the DMV here in Rhode Island to see why and I found out that Tennessee has discovered recently that all testing done by Swift in that state is not compliant to Tennessee's guidelines. So because I cannot afford to retake the skills test I will have to give up my CDL. Thanks Swift! so glad I went with ya! Hope I don't have to pay to downgrade my license!
