I believe on the newer PP box they changed to temp. for power cut off and have you install the probe in the exhaust pipe after the turbo.

    Jas Thanks this.

I meant to say "to a lower temp".

I have my pitts gauge in the manifold but I say they are close to the same by adding 250deg to the stock gauge. I've heard many say thats the difference between the two locations

Have you had good luck with your PP box on that Cat?I was going to buy one but after reading a few things,I have to wonder which is best.Did you change injectors or any other parts?

(knock on wood) no problems at all. Shes bone stock other the box and I crossed the wires on the boost sensor (no resistor). I also almost always ran with it on 7 but I always watch the Gauges and keep my foot out of it when it gets hot. and trust me she will get hot. After the winter I wanna get a turbo, injectors and the ecm reflashed.

I tried some 1/4 mile calculators to estimate flywheel hp of DDS racetruck. Used 92mph trap speed and 19800 lbs weight. 3 different formulas gave between 1182 and 1267 flywheel hp. With 10% drivetrain loss that is 1064-1140 whp. Don't know how accurate those formulas are when talking about big rigs.
Bouchards trap speed record is 98 mph, that needs about 250 hp more than DDS truck has.

Here are the formulas I used

Ya, we always chain down. Its can be hard to get it right but when it is, all wheels are down and it hooks up great, the tires can slip for the first 100 feet with no hop.
