I like the fact you're picking loads off a company board vs calling brokers negotiating rates and such. And unless Schneider has drastically changed, I know they have a ton of freight. I got my CDL with them in 1999.

Oh I know there's lots of options, just started looking into it. I'm giving my current gig at least another year before I make any decisions. I figured I'd start looking at Schneider just because my time with them was a good one and at the time you could get "special" pricing on new trucks at dealerships they partnered with. That was 1999-2000. I know things are different now with lease option. Basically I'm trying to learn the O/O L/O side of trucking.

pay attention and log the customers your current company goes to. you may learn valuable info to utilize later on if you do go the o/o route. -
I'm doing LTL line haul, terminal to terminal so our customers run the gamut. I've always tracked my fuel economy just for my own amusement. Still good info though, thank you.
