    For the money.
    For the glory.
    And for the fun.
    Mostly for the money.

You love what you do, it's not really work.

    Joetro Thanks this.

I wished I had known the score when I started.

I would like to make the money I do now, and be home every night, and still work when I feel like it.

And maybe that opportunity will come along.

    x1Heavy and 28 Thank this.

There is more to being an owner op than just driving. Picking freight and running a truck profitably is a game and it gets into your blood.

    x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I am one too. However I like to try and do what's good for the company from time to time. Hence the yelling. You are just a driver. No, I am the agent of your company while you are asleep with your family at home. I sometimes take care of the problems on my own and worry about the yelling later.

It is way better to be in a situation where hauling high dollar loads and good equiptment that causes hardly no problems at all. You plan on being home when the hours are up. I used to do alot of shuttle between little rock and memphis supporting our west coast team drivers who don't have to double back 400 miles to get loaded in Memphis and then back west too far. The money takes care of itself barring the necessary HOS limitations that causes a need to stop in either Memphis or Earle if not also little rock.

    28 Thanks this.
