Thanks Tug, us left coast boys don't get to see any of this kind of stuff. Reminds me of a 25 load rig move!! I'm guessing there a truck boss or coordinator for this event??

 

I ran cars up there for a very short time and that's what I experienced too. It was so bad it still sours my outlook on human's at times. Usually I'm just joking around about it but it was really shocking to me where a couple stealerships expected the driver to unload at. Not all of them are bad of course but one deserved a loading bar tap.

It's sad when a security guard(very nice older gentleman I'd say around 65-70 year old) beats on your door, you come open the door and he says,

"Sir, I just wanna tell you that I'm only hear till 3 am."

I say, well I appreciate that....I'm aware it's a rough area, but is there something specific I should know? Is there something going on here tonight?

"Yes, last few nights trucks with lowboy, stepdeck, and flatbed trailers have been getting ravaged when I leave at 3am. They know where I'm at most of the night on my patrol, but soon as I leave at 3am, they start stealing mainly tarps, and chains and binders. Do you have any locks on your equipment?".

I'm like...well hell. Thanks for the heads up, but not everything is locked. Looks like I better go find some extra locks.

Yeah, I suppose to go load a few mile from here. I was thinking, well I'll just stay close, load early. I put what I could up and make it a big hassle for them to get the rest. I got a couple grand worth of tarps I'd like to keep.

 

Hah, yeah its getting near that time I reckon. Bout another month I should be gettin my bottle goin.
