2005 volvo D12 missfire please help

I have a 2005 Volvo vnl with d12 engine and 10 speed manual fuller .
The truck runs perfect for 30 min and then all of the sudden starts misfiring and idling really rough like it wants to die, and then I shut the truck off literally for one minute, and it starts right up and drives perfect again for 20 min or more and then again back to running like crap. Put new fuel filters and it still does it , any ideas please need your input. Took it to local Volvo mechanic he told me that ECM needs updates , but I highly doubt it .

 

Thanks for advice, do I need to replace the whole wire harness or just the wires that go to ECM
and do you think my injectors are good
