They micromanage this guy exactly the same amount as a 25 year driver. I was involved in a conversation with Bob Wyatt (5+ million mile driver) once with the idiot Gary safety manager. They were arguing about onguard and Bob Wyatt was explaining how it just slams on the brakes for no reason. Safety manager, who probably only hit 600,000-700,000 in his driving career, flat out told him he was wrong and that he was exaggerating the problem.

If you treat drivers like dumb ### newbies you're going to end up having dumb ### newbies working for you.

2019 cascadia's onguard (and other sensors) are even twitchier than previous models. All of the collision warnings, forced slow downs, and brake hits have been because of it picking up on vehicles in the lanes next to me. It's especially bad on curves.

That's because the radar beam shoots in a straight line therefore picking up vehicles close to you in next lane as you go through curves and slams the brakes.
I had one that would slam the brakes as I approached green traffic lights. I won't drive another vehicle that has that crap on it.
My 2019 Volvo just arrived without none of that crap.

I only ran into that problem occasionally with my '16. This one does it on curves and straights. It's worst with the right lane but occasionally picks up the left.

Sometimes they may have an update for the system that may help. I know the new trucks it doesn't matter if you have cruise engaged or not it will slam on brakes.

Talking with my manager today and ask here about that. She said it took them a year to gather the data and come up with a fix for the 680's so it'll probably be a while.
