They sometimes like to mess with your home time.
And it is really strange getting a load from CA to that far east these days. Once they have you in the west they like to keep you there. That is one reason I just changed terminals to IGH.
But home time requests should be honored. If they try to route me somewhere else I will simply say no, with 'Home time request' as my reason.
One or two of those and they always find me my load home.
Just like magic... if they tell you there are no loads going that way, once you refuse to move they will find one.
I don't care what anyone tells me about bubble maps and such.
Swift has freight moving in all directions from all points.

I live in CA, upgraded in Memphis. First couple loads they sent me to OH and then MD. DL got me a load from NE to AZ. And then from AZ to CA. Ever since then the farthest I’ve been from CA was OK. Do wish sometimes they could send me east. I like those coast to coast loads.

Coast to coast loads are reserved for new CDL drivers. Talked to a new driver in Jurupa Valley terminal and that’s all he does, those 2000+ miles load. Now he drove for 4 months and those long miles loads all magically disappeared.

Just picked up my LAST load in Statesville, NC that I will deliver in Laredo, TX Saturday morning at which time I will be RETIRED.
FrankMoosetek13, blsqueak, Tolmie and 3 others Thank this. -

Been out a month and a half and haven't been furthest east than colorado. Put my 1st home time and they want to send me east. Lol. Think coast to coast are reserved for teams or trainee w/ mentor.

Yeah when my mentor picked me up in Jurupa, my first load was headed to Miami. That was a nice drive. The 10 pretty much the whole way

Redding ca at the t/a. Have a 0700 appt in the morning 9 .miles from here.
Woke up this morning. Did a pretrip and noticed trailer tire was blown. Never heard it or felt it blow yesterday.
I for some reason I didn't so a walk around yesterday when I got to the pilot.
So wasted 3.5 hrs to get tire replaced.
Lesson learned lok -

If you do, there will be a thump and a thud - if it is a trailer tire.
A bit more if it is a drive tire.
If it is a steer, hang on for dear life.dptrucker Thanks this.
