Still learning load board broker tricks. Just saw one OKC-Aztec, NM for a real good rate. I know there’s a catch, I figure hazmat or something, no biggie, so I click to read the details. Seems there’s two drops. First one is in Missouri..... then reload in Missouri..... and THEN go to NM.
Cuz we all go from OKC to NM by way of MO. -
My friend had a 500 Detroit run off after the seals blew. The mechanic replaced the turbo but didn’t clean the air to air, it hit 3000+ rpms and blew the head gasket. They said water hit the ceiling about 20 feet high. Had to inframe it.cke, 1951 ford, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 16 others Thank this.

Yeah....I may be sorry but I'm gonna run it tomorrow and keep a eye on it. Just did a oil change that was way past do.
Problem is it's not one of those off the shelf models and will take a week to get if they have the parts to build it. It's kinda pricey too.
We will see....peterbilt_2005, cke, 1951 ford and 15 others Thank this. -

Is the Truck smoking ? If it is or start's, get it shut down asap. I had a Tech do the same thing that @shogun just described about not cleaning out the air to air intercooler. It didn't blow up but it's a real gamble once it's getting oil past the seal. I didn't know about " runaways " then. Left the shop in Brunswick GA ( next door to the TA they tore down in 07 ) and it was smoking like a coal burning locomotive by the time I got to the south bound on ramp. 2 tenths of a mile maybe ? Aborted that plan, switched to plan B. Went under the overpass and turned around on the entrance to the Pilot, went straight back to the shop. The door was still up. Filled the building with smoke before I could turn it off and I turned the key before I popped the knob, so I wasn't wasting any time. It shut right down immediately. That's when the Tech taught me about runaways. He knew what it was though. Keep a close watch on that.
