If you have food in your fridge you ought a remove it if you're going home. But if you forget to do that and leave your fridge on, it's no biggie. I've done it several times. Your alarm will go off in your absence. Then, your truck will shut down all power to electrical outlets, fridge, and inverter. It'll hold back enough juice to get your truck started, and that's it. At that point you'll only have an issue if your truck is sitting for an extended period of time. That reserve juice may not be enough. If it's winter time, you can count on needing a jump. This is where an APU is nice. I can essentially jump my truck with my car even if the batteries are fully discharged. If you're an O/O it's a real good idea to get rid of the stock batteries and get some marine batteries. Best investment I made so far in this truck.

I was stuck in Albany for day and a half. Actually the last three times I went I lost a day
Personally I think when the Eden Brewery shut down and some of the local regional guys etc Moved there they are getting the loads, couple drivers I talked told me that it makes sense. If it’s not that then a oh crap what’s going on is in order.

You'll probably never hear that alarm unless you're in your truck running the Espar in the winter. And that'll only be the fault of the batteries. Standard is 925 CCA. I've been told by several folks at Millis that they are now putting in 800 CCA batteries. You won't get more than 5 hours out of that heater and the batteries will wear out very quickly. Pass. Hence the deep charge marine batteries. Considering what it is that they do, the cost is a very small increase. Gotta love bean counters.

If that is true very penny wise pound foolish type decision. Will increase idle time therefore fuel usage along with wear and tear on the motor. Might have some service calls because of dead batteries. If they wear out faster like you said there is another increased cost when they need to be replaced.

Yep, @Diablolover2 is right. Something changed up a few weeks ago. Marco is on Sunday’s now,,, it’s how I met him weeks ago when I went to ask for the van keys. I’ve heard Jeff Millis is on Saturdays now.

It's an absolute certainty that the batteries die faster. Stock batteries are glorified car batteries. They have zero capacity for discharge. They will die quickly because of what we do. These are what I have.
