We have a 2012 KW T700 in which the motor mounts are repeatedly breaking. We have had to replace them 4 times in the last 2 months. Haul 3 or 4 loads and they break. We need to find a cause for this, but so far adjusting the clutch and changing the transmission brackets have not helped. Any help appreciated.

Do the bolts fall into place or do you have to manhandle the engine with a prybar to get them to line up? If you're wrestling with the bolts chances are something is misaligned or bent, putting a shear force on the bolts.

The parts in this country is a joke, if you think you found a deal that is great it probably is a knock off part made out of this country, buy the expensive oem parts that are made for real. instead of fake news we get fake parts anymore.

The problem is even OEM parts for American vehicles are outsourced to other countries to produce.

I really do not care if they are outsourced, all I want is quality. Used to be pride in this country, now it is seeing if they can slide doing half way jobs. We need to start acting as #1 again instead of #2

Have you ever change the crankshaft dampner ? They wear out and stop working, then all that energy go Thru the truck and part keep breaking.

Lots of people will say they never wear out and most people never change them. People can never figured out why bolts are breaking for no reason and other parts. Pittsburgh Power say they are only good for 500,000 miles.

It might be the answer to you problem.

No disrespect intended, but... Does tje driver know how to drive it properly???

Had a guy at my old place of employment that was constantly breaking motor mounts... Finally someone followed him with a set of binoculars and discovered he was hot rodding the crap out of the truck every chance he got once he was out of sight of the main yard, over reving engine and jammimg gears to the point it would nearly lift a steer tire off the ground... Miracle he didnt break anything else.

Most all bolts made have a rating on them among other things.

Use bolts that are rated higher than can be generated by the engine and you are in good shape.

I am led to understand we are infusing bolts at forging (I think it's BS because forging is not the same as pouring raw)

I learn towards driver abuse. This is one set of bolts I don't bother much in a 18 wheeler.
