Just to clarify. I did get the warning letter but had been assured by the insurance company the issue had been corrected. I have a letter from the insurance carrier stating my coverage did not lapse. The carrier failed to notify the government of their mistake. I had to apply for reinstatement and paid the $80. The insurance carrier sent the correct information and I was reinstated. They are fully admitting this is their fault. The insurance carrier has offered to reimburse me the $80 fee. I have no reason to not be honest about this so don’t imply I’m not.

True that.
Samething happened to me. I thought i had my bill pay set up, but i had my wires crossed somewhere. My biggest problem was at the time i was single, no one home, so the mail sat there untill i got back. -

What really ticks me off about this kind of stuff is that it makes us look bad when are, by very definition, in different places all the time and never home to check the mail or be able to do some of this stuff easily. Then you call up FMCSA or DOT and have to wait on hold for hours on end to get an issue corrected. It's kind of insane. It's an O/O problem mostly, I guess I signed up for it.
Good luck Hedswd but I'm betting you just lost that week of pay. No time in our schedules to chase down stuff like this, easier to just get the truck rolling and make money on the next run. -
Darn that reminds me I gotta pay my city and property taxes

Boy i owe you a beer. When your a single guy and nobody’s home to run the office, it can get overwhelming pretty darn quick.
