I have a 4 ft firestik with a 5 inch workman antenna and it stays on good when driving but it's still a bit sketchy but it does stay on very good. Any way to clamp the magnet down or something to hold it so there is no worry about it falling off. I don't think it will but just in case

With that quad mag mount, you will peel the cars roof off before the antenna will come off..lol..
I have about a 5" mag mount on my sirio ant but then again my coil is not way up like a fire stick and my whip can bent quite a bit..

I don't quite understand the OP. Is he asking about the union of the antenna's stinger with the magnet base, or the magnet base to the vehicle metal?

I assume it's the latter, but he says, "... it stays on good when driving but it's still a bit sketchy but it does stay on very good...." So, if it stays on very good, then what's the beef, even if it is a "bit sketchy," whatever that means.

I'm a little unclear on the OP comments but if the magnet won't hang on to a flat sheet of steel, the magnet is worthless. Time for an upgrade

So I had a few of those, I went to a swap - actually got a table and sold off some of my stuff. Yes I do do that.

Well anywhoo I had two of those four magnet ones and four of three magnet ones with the no scuff bottoms I just bought from another guy a few tables down when we setup, I was happy I paid $10 for each of the three magnet ones and $15 each for the four magnet ones.

So at the end of the day I was packing up, my daughter and wife came in to help me (they went sight seeing) and while I was loading out things I bought, someone asked if the magnet mounts were for sale, my wife said "sure, they are marked" so the guy said that was too expensive, he will give her $5 for each one" and my wife said "OK sold". I get back from loading the PU, she hands me $30 and said in a proud voice "I sold those magnet mounts for you".

Yep, I heard a gun collector say the other day, "If I drop dead, I hope my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them."
