they have the full book for you to read and start taking the test for your temp and all the endorsements. you dont need to wait for school to do that (at least in Ohio)

Yeh the first 2 weeks of class at roadmasters is practice tests to get your permit. If you get your permit now on yur own when you start school you'll be ahead and they will most likely get you practicing in the truck right off the gate.
They moved one guy ahead of my class cause he already had his permit. -
Not sure if I should start a new post or not but figured I would give a little update. I chose United Truck Driving school in riverside, its not the prettiest looking school but I feel I am getting an excellent education thus far. Passed all my endorsements (doubles/trips/tankers/hazmat) first go with out a problem. I'm 2 weeks out from graduating and starting to look at hire options.
Now my question is, if I want to be home weekly and make as much money as possible, and considering it seems I will need 6mos to get into any tank/intermodal/good hazmat jobs, which company would you guys recommend for a new driver? I was thinking either Schneider or May, I also heard if this company TriStar. Any advice would be great again, thx.
