It's useful ALL the time. I absolutely love that option. It's well worth it's weight in gold to me especially when time is of the essence.

Is Berkshire Hathaway and Gieco the same company?
Or did they do some sort of spin off? -
I don't know about Berkshire but the thing I find annoying with progressive is the give you radius miles you can run in. When I was in Pa. I had daily they were great unlimited miles. Moved to Ny state progressive limited me to 300. Now two years latter I can be at 500 miles can run 20% of my runs over 500 but they charged $1200 more a year for 500 miles. Daily was the same price as progressives 300 miles . I've had my numbers 5 years before I switched to progressive. Still limited me to 300 miles. Plus they charge $25 a certificate daily never did. What's the differance if you 300 or 1000 miles away if you have a claim?

I've never been refused for a rate con based on insurance certificate availability after hours. They're fine with the generic cert until my agent can get them one during business hours.JB3, Mattflat362, roadslave201 and 1 other person Thank this.

How did you set that up ?..... I got there app on my phone and it won’t let be do much with my commercial policy...... I have a bunch of policies there.

I thoroughly enjoy having the option to handle it myself immediately instead of waiting forever for my agent to get it done and losing the job.windsmith Thanks this.

Never tried it on the app but I just log into my account via a browser and do it from there.Cat sdp Thanks this.

That way of thinking is why rates are so low. Always know that you hold the cards. The broker can't get the load covered without your truck. And if they think they can, then you should pass on that load. Those loads aren't profitable for you.Mattflat362 and DSK333 Thank this.

Maybe if we're talking something the Shipper doesn't need to move but if it needs to go immediately and the rate reflects that, I need to be ready to go. The Broker can just as easily get another truck if I'm not available when the load needs to move.Last edited: Oct 4, 2018

That's my point, exactly. Don't take any load that doesn't need to move.DSK333 Thanks this.
