Well I would use wire that isn’t going to loose volts I wasn’t Aware using 10 gauge from the Battery and then connecting it to the factory powerlead would that cause issues .

“As a personal thought,why do we need a fuse on the ground side??”


It’s insurance against a vehicle fire, or damage to your radio. If your vehicles ground was to lose its integrity, and excessive current tries to back flow through your ground wire, the fuse will blow.

 

USCG standards disallow soldered connections due to vibrations. Then there’s heat & corrosion.

ANCOR products meet the above and then some. I’ve harnesses on vehicles more than ten years of age similar to new. Started using the brand more than twenty years ago.

Drawback appears to be initial expense. One is soon over that once Quality is perceived and utilized.

And then to feed a West Mountain RigRunner distribution panel. The devices are themselves connected each to a fused Anderson PowerPole termination.

That, mounted on the back of a TAC COMM radio carrier can be dash mounted. Other devices (speaker, etc) inside or out.

12 isn’t worth it when 10 isn’t harder.
