Mystery buttons! 2016 Cascadia under trailer break.

They’re pre-wired power buttins for optional accessories. I have my flashing amber beacons wired to the “OPT” switch on the dash of my 2017 Cascadia.

If you need to add any accessories to your truck you can just splice into one of those switches instead of having to wire to the fuse box and mount a new switch somewhere.

 

It sets the casicadia to self destruct at 500000 miles. Hope you pushed the buttons In the right sequence or it happens sooner.

 

I used an in-line wire connector and spliced the “hot” wire for my lights directly into the power wire off of that switch. I’m not an electrician, but it certainly worked great for me.

 

I have a new mechanic telling me my D13 is sheeot and I need a freightliner with a Detroit. But my D13 has been swell so far. Can't help but think it's the luck of the draw with engines.
