Decatur, GA terminal. What fun.
Came here for a b service. They replaced a drive tire for some tread damage as well.
I got in here mid-afternoon yesterday and was told it would be today when they could do it, which I expected. I pulled in line behind two other trucks so I thought it would be later in the morning before they would get to me and I set my alarm for 0830. At 0545 he pounded on my door to get me in. The other two trucks were still in front of me, and I didn't complain.
I was lucky to need a service. The pplan I was sent was an Amazon load with a very tight schedule. Pick up by 1445 and deliver the next morning at 0700 with nearly 300 miles.
I HATE Amazon! Probably as much as most every employee they have.
And my last load took nearly 3.5 hours to get me unloaded, so I would have been late in any case.
I thought it funny that the paperwork left in the truck had the wrong mileage. (I don't think he meant to leave it)
The mileage in the Odometer field on the paperwork was the exact mileage in the messages I received on the QC telling me when it was due- 202227. My actual mileage when I got here was 202333, and that is what I put on the work order as well.
? They lied. Badly.
As if it would even be remotely possible to get here with that exact number of miles. -

Got everything done that I need to do during my time off.
Got back to Terminal early evening. Checked on truck and said it was done. He said it. NEeded an update on the software. Asked if it was out of shop status. Said yes
Woke up this morning and asked at dispatched window if they had any loads going out at the terminal since I didn't have an empty.
She said I was on shop status lol
Went over to my dl and finally got it off.
Gave me a load out of Moreno valley ca going to Albuquerque nm for a delivery tomorrow whenever I get there.
They did fix the braking issue. Also truck would go I to neutral when on cruise. Doesn't do that anymore or I should say yet lol
But when I set the cruise a pcc fault comes on the display. Goes off when I turn cruise off. Not gonna worry about it since cruise works.
Also they assign you an empty out of jv terminal. Have to drop it if you bring one in.
Do said you put on the list if you bring an empty or drop an empty at a customer like I did -

Delivered that load to Albuquerque and they had no empty. Dl said to head over to Terminal and most likely get an my there when they give me a Pre plan.
I walked to dispatch window and asked if they had anything in the yard to deliver. Said they don't dispatch but for me to send in a Mac 30. Didn't think I qualified yet but I do lol
Gave me a load that was sitting there going to sante fe springs ca for a 0600 Monday delivery.
Gonna go to jv terminal and see if I can trade a load. If not in will head to Montebello yard on Sunday afternoon so I miss most of that rush hour traffic -
Question for the swift drivers with an 2018 or 2019 cascadia do those trucks come with and inverter and if so what size? Thanks have a neighbor going to swift acadamy soon and asked me. Back when i drove for swift I had a 2014 and didn't have one
