Just a note you mentioned new water. I hope you meant 50/50 mix. Got to have antifreeze to raise boiling point and water to cool. If mixing use only distilled water and put additives and check scan levels w dipstick strip kit. If not that new engine could have a pitted sleeve in just a few months

Yes, thats what i meant, have only put reg eater once, a hose popped while on I-10 headed to FL, got a phone call to let me know i happened to be in the middle of a hurricane at 4 am so pure water had to be the savior to get moving. Other than that, ive always used the 50/50 black bottle red capRideandrepair Thanks this.

I would change when you flush or at least check it w/ test strip meanwhile. 50/50 is expensive. But I’ve found TSC tractor supply about $11 gallon for. Final Charge. Used with filter that automatically releases additives as or if needed is the fleet recommended set up. I don’t run filter as it’s another possible leak . But I check w/test strip regularly. Cheapest insurance . Don’t buy a big kit as the strips expire. If you decide on new radiator check w/ Radiator Works Wyandotte Mi. Good Prices Products and Support
