Why don't you get the trailer now, just finance it and get moving?colorado18spd and Lite bug Thank this. -

It’s cheap all the way around. Uship has soooo many bottom feeders that bid jobs for less than fuel money. Honestly i just don’t get it.
Hauling travel trailers and 5th wheels is all one way frieght paid at a one way rate. To much dead head to low a rate to really be profitable. OP, If you plan to play with the big boys then grow a pair. You need your trailer and to have work lined up before you start, or you’ll sink fast!
Now you said you’re currently employed. So what is it? Did you already open your authority or not??? If not, it i would wait until i had a trailer. Even if you can rent a trailer, that be a huge help for you. -
I got a call from an RV dealer the other day, some RV show north of me needed to get some trucks in to move some of the heavy stuff out, so I went out there and met with them. got into the show for free, looked at a nice MH that I may buy but business is business so ... the owner of the place asked me how much to move 10 pieces, mind you I have yard trucks that can be road ready in a day made to pull travel and fifth wheel trailers. So I gave them a quote of $2.10 a mile loaded. The guy almost fell over, he said that was eight times more than he got a quote for and he thought that was too high. So he said he was going to post it on uship. I said go for it, don't bother me again to waste my time.
Lite bug and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
