I WAS A LINEHAUL DRIVER FOR 4 YEARS AND DROVE ALOT OF MILES WITHOUT COMPLAINTS AND HAD NO ACCIDENTS. COMPANY MAN 100%!! I WAS HAPPY AND SECURE, OR SO I THOUGHT. I HEARD ABOUT 1000 + TERMINAL WIDE LINEHAUL DRIVERS WERE LAID OFF THIS PAST WEEK, INCLUDING ME. IT WAS A TERRIBLE THE WAY THEY ANNOUNCED IT. ONE BY ONE THE DRIVERS RETURNED TO THEIR MAIN TERMINAL AND WERE TOLD THEY WERE LAID OFF IMMEDIATELY, WITHOUT WARNING OR NOTICE. HOWEVER, THEIR POLICY IS YOU HAVE TO GIVE A 2 WEEK NOTICE BEFORE RESIGNING. IT SHOULD BE THE SAME BOTH WAYS!

If you are looking for a good job check out some of my threads I got the ax also from WALMART PRIVATE FLEET. So I know what you are going through.
That sucks the way they did that is that even legal? I thought they should give you a severnce pkg or something, Paid scholling to train, anything , did they at least let you cash out your vacation/ personal time etc to help you out some.?
Let me know if you need any good job advise I assume you were making the 65-70k range give or take.
I was also and landed a good job making roughly the same.
