It's $850/ day for 10 hours. The 10 hours starts when you get in line at the hub. So, it's possible to double that, from what I understand.

    Mostly all night driving.

But haul through another brokerage. Steer clear of Coyote.

I can't run 20 hours and UPS owns Coyote now. Even so, I would not cross the GW bridge for that. Period. They can find some can haulers to do it.

Everything is relative. I don’t do that kind of work, but I know a couple guys that have.

The abbreviated version is: (most important! number one they were getting $1800 to pull out of the terminal in New Jersey. ) So, you show up and you automatically got your $1800 regardless of what they had you do.
So they would hook a set, or hook a long single and go up to Massachusetts. Upon arriving they would be asked how many hours they had left, which point they say I have three hours left to the terminal manager. Then they are relieved from duty because they cannot complete another turn to bring an empty back down to New Jersey in 3 hours or less, and ups doesn’t want their equipment setting in a rear area for 10 hours. In the meantime they bobtail back down to New Jersey restart the next one. That can be turned inside of a 14 hour day (2x nj to ma on paper E&G) provided you don’t get tangled up the first or second time at the New Jersey hub. Pretty easy to turn five figures in a week running minimal miles power only.

    “Let’s just say”

Now if a carrier was getting 850 per shift to start with, unless you were doing yarddog duties it ain’t worth the time.

Agreed. This is what they told me so that's enough for me. I can only assume that if it were a better deal or if there was some other perks to it they would have certainly brought that up. But they didn't and all they talked about was the details for the "driver" and conveniently left out the real details that matter...like the rate. I had to practically hound them for it. Never a good sign. Just as bad, if not worse than JB Hunt's power only deal. They're both just looking to take advantage of the ignorant. I'm willing to bet the guys you know that were pulling those numbers found the work via a better conduit.

Coyote is a major broker in the UPS runs now but there are still other brokers who've been doing ups stuff for decades.

I would not run the "go anywhere" east coast loads if my life depended on it. But I've been told I can do a 380 mile dedicated round trip, m-f, for $850+ and I'm thinking about taking it.

It's a guaranteed $4000/ week that puts me home daily with power only and half the miles are empty.

I don't know if I will do it, but I'm thinking it is not a bad way to spend 5 weeks.

Sure but to where though? Would you still think that's a good deal if you were running into NYC? Without knowing all your details I can't tell if it's good deal or not but from they listed on the correspondence they sent me all the runs were NOT worth $850. All the tolls, expensive fuel, highest IFTA rates in the entire country, traffic, bad roads/repair expense, dikhed drivers all add up to misery for me and my equipment.

Even in your case without knowing the rest of the story, from my calculations here you're looking at roughly $600/day after fuel and IFTA. Roughly. So about 3k/week. Without knowing your overhead I can't say if that's good or not. For me, I could make that work since I don't have any truck payments nor physical damage coverages hanging over my head, don't have a driver to pay and my cost of living is pretty cheap compared to most. If they were offering something along those lines I would have jumped all over it.
