How long can they be on the trailer before you gotta start worrying about them? I know you want to get 'em off quick but I always wondered what if you had a breakdown.

I hear I was the last one to get $300 per move. Even if we do two in a day. They call it a “cap” but in reality it’s a pay cut. The days we don’t have any loads we don’t even get a layover day because of our ridicules layover policy.

I’m getting real tired of hearing that we make to much money but no one will break 100k in a year. My checks are typically way higher then most company drivers here but I also have had two pay periods this year with $0 earned. I don’t hear of anyone “reviewing these for abnormalities” like my high paying checks.

Well don’t worry. You won’t get the on site moves without being a part of the superload crew. The on-site move is thr 5th and final leg of that wings journey. The first four are All on the road. Simone has no clue about anything but hr stuff.

My last week working local I did 6 moves at 300 and three 4hr unloads at 72 Monday through Thursday. $2016 in four days sounds great right?

Well what a lot of people, including management her don’t factor in is the time to stage for these loads. I was empty on the Thursday before in Stuart, Florida. I sat in Florida part of the day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. That earned me a whole $75. Sunday afternoon drove 400 miles to Savannah earning $188.

Grand total of 2279 for 7 days with of work.

Over $500 a day just went to just over $300. With the new pay cut i would have earned $1920. I can make more pulling legal freight.

The way it happened with us was, this beancounter from an LTL company was hired and the first thing he did was convince the office peeps that they pay their drivers too much. So, they will hire more office staff, and have more people monitoring things, and hold your hand and at the same time began to hire people that need their hands held but pay them 1/2 what they pay you. With the money cut, the guys that were doing it will no longer do it and the guys coming in will do it for the glory (and half price), and the talent will began to fall away...only to be replaced with the less talented.

Suddenly, the safety score and the stellar reputation becomes tarnished. And the talent walks away in droves. And in response, you began to notice the influx of braindeads. And the Fups become huge, making national news. And your high end clients start looking elsewhere for talent. And the less talented that was hired to run for half of what they paid you began to mumble able having to rub shoulders with braindeads. One day, they send you to load and you find yourself surrounded by a throng of koolaid drinking TMC drivers. And strangely, they're looking down their noses at you. "Must be the koolaid...". Yeah, it's the koolaid, because even if you guys fell from grace, you still didn't have to do stupid pet tricks at the circus like those drivers do. "Hey Bozo, nice hair!"
