I agree with this 1000%. I try to run everything at the 42' mark.

They just got a fresh batch in. I'd hurry before they disappear.

Welcome trucka brutha. You can hope to get @keen98 as a trainer or Rodney R (my trainer) as your trainer. I don't know Bill in Trenton as I was in Jamie's class in Richfield. I've met Steve in Cartersville and he's a cool guy too. Greg in Cville who is the training director is a cool cat too.
Welcome to the Millis family bruh.

EDIT: oh yeah, you were asking for advice. Sorry, I'm on drugs after some mouth surgery this morning. Ask Bill for the keys after hours. Get out on the practice range and start backing up. Offset backing and alley docks will be your baileywick. Not that's you can do this in school but the setup of your truck before docking is all important.
There's a conversation going on in this thread about tailswing. Yep, me too. I want the tandems trolley all the way to the rear before I start bumping a dock.
You'll be fine man. Hit us up with any questions you have.

Nope won't be getting me. I kick this one out tomorrow and pick the next 1 up on the 22nd so even as fast as i try pushing miles down them noway I'll have him at 15k before hed be done in Trenton. Plus I stick to Richfield grads, they already have their CDL, makes my life much easier lol. With that said Im definitely available to help anyway I can and will offer my # up as I have to just about everyone else here.

    Farmer54 and dhellmer Thank this.

If that’s from the kingpin to the center of the tandem, that leaves you with about 8’ from the tandem center to the tail. That’s easy to work with. I run with about 10’ on my 48 footer.

I remember dragging a 42 foot grain wagon thinking it was long. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end,,,

Yeah, it's the place on Calumet. It's much smaller in person then it looks on Google maps. If you have 2 empty doors side by side then it's no big deal, but when it was only 1 it was a royal pain.
