Stopped tonight in Perry, Michigan I-69 EXIT 105 at the Sunoco travel stop. I picked this bad boy up at the Jersey Giant sub shop they have inside $9.99.They slice the meat fresh. I'll save half of it for lunch tomorrow. They have a diner inside as well I'll be checking out for breakfast in the morning.![]()

I like their subs, but that's meals for more than two days.
There used to be a place off of US-23 that had great subs too, but I went by there this morning and it was all boarded up. They would pile on the meat, making it a meal for a week.Oldironfan and JonJon78 Thank this. -
when i was MUCH younger, i'd eat that all in one sitting.
nowadays, i'd most likely eat 1/4 of it for lunch and supper for 2 days straight.
and after i learn THAT LESSON, i'd buy the smaller size...lolshogun, Dave_in_AZ, Oldironfan and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think that's the only size subs they sell... I could be wrong...Oldironfan Thanks this.

ok, back in my day, we really did not have mini fridges in trucks, just a basic cooler. so it would not really stay fresh more than 2 days.
i'd most likely too, would not have any dressing on it, so it would not get soggy in the fridge.
in fact, that is what i do nowadays when i buy a sub at a local shop. cut it in half, and fridge the rest, no dressing.shogun and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Ok I've never been there but if it tastes as good as it looks you had a good night.
Couple places I could suggest for those that run SE Washington and NE Oregon is Tony's sub shop in Walla Walla Wa. Down fall bobtail only or catch the free bus from the super 8 on us 12 and Wilbur. Other one is sub shop 38 Milton-Freewater Oregon you could park near it both have almost 40 hot or cold subs, salads, soups. And there not bashful with the meat, veggies the norm lettuce tomato onion but want something else just ask and no extra charge. Probably about 14" of goodness for 8.00-9.00 with drink.Oldironfan and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Bread makes a sandwich. That don’t look like a great roll. And $9.99 for a whole sub i doubt they are using premium meats. Man you need a delivery or oick up in Philly. Hit a corner deli on some block. You’ll get the best sandwich you ever had. Just do yourself a favor & stay the heck away from them Tourist traps Pats & Genos.
Primo’s has some peetty good subs. Capriotti’s has imo some the best.Eowyn and Oldironfan Thank this. -
The franchise operations are putting and end to a lot of great mom and pop operations. Most people won’t pay a fair and reasonable price for quality.
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
tell the truth. You finished that Sub before you sacked out for the night. Didn't you?bzinger, Dave_in_AZ, Oldironfan and 2 others Thank this.

Read the title, and opened the thread to mention the ts in Perry.
My brother-in-law loves their subs, but for me I'm not too impressed. The meat and cheese is deli counter quality, so it is better than Subway, but nowhere near premium I get for mine at home. The bread though is simple white bread with no flavor. I want to taste both bread and meats on my sub....Oldironfan Thanks this.
