For a min. Their I was back in 96' rolling in a powder blue Pete and black fenders. In a convoy of a parking lot, fuel truck, two skateboards and me Rollin dryvan. Rolling east into Texas. It was about 3am heading to Amarillo for a pit stop to grab fuel. We talked on the CB the entire time from when we all hooked up outside needles. We even picked up some guys around Albuquerque.
No cussing talked real subjects, for the life of me no one mentioned "Navy seals, black helicopters ect. "
Everyone dressed in pants and boots, no shorts or flip flops.
I digressed...... Back to your regularly scheduled programming. Ohhhh look a Volvo and the driver has a foot on his dash....
Where is everyone #5

IAI is no longer IAI, that's now a Gulfstream company and the wing I have is a brand new G-280. Another company manufactures the wing, we truck it to the port, a container ship takes it to Israel in the hold as break-bulk, GA assembles the plane there as the G-280.
As for my username, no, not a PBY pilot, came from when I flew tourist helicopters between Long Beach and Avalon (Catalina Island). Of course that was back in the very early years of the internet and I used it for my username & email on compuserve. -
I know the names have changed but, it's like the DC-9 being renamed 717's old habits are hard to break. I had a friend that flew a Westwind.
If you have some time when you are in Newton come by my shop in Hutch, the old Mega building across from Tyson. The little one not the Marlin building. We could swap airplane stories and truckin tales!

You forgot some incarnations there, DC-9, MD-80, MD-88 and now 717. No matter what they call it, it's still a DC-9 LOL. As for the G-280, she doesn't even try to hang onto the Westwind roots, looks like a G-4 that got washed in hot water and dried in a hot drier.
I'll try and get by your shop some day however in 20 days I'll be a resident of Texas. -
You know when you look in the drivers side view mirror and you see a plain grey wrapper in the center lane; And you can see the driver holding his camera sideways to get the whole wide shot picture or video as he’s cruising past looking right at your truck and trailer… That’s either a good thing a really bad thing… I’m not sure which yet. But he kept on rolling so I guess we good.
