Lord knows I ain't got no business talking but you might check and see if that ol' dirt farm with the razorbacks ain't got a old double stick in the shed that needs a seat warmer. Never hurts to ask....

If your plan is solid enough you should be able to do it with or without them.

And maybe you'll think I'm an A hole for saying this but this almost has a little taste of Six's friend Dilbert to it. Dilbert knows the right answer but he is looking for someone to tell him what he wants to hear. So I guess maybe stepdad is an arse. Or maybe he isn't. Do you remember those "Choose your own adventure" books from when you were a kid? What page are you going to turn to?

I get it, believe me I do. I think if I were you though, I'd extricate myself from the situation and go get my own truck and authority or whatever you want, and let stepdad do whatever he wants.

Ive always been a "stand on my own" type of person. But the common theme I see in truly successful businesses is the family behind them. I was a small business owner for 10yrs full time with an excavation co. I owned my own equipment and did well for a lot of yrs. Ive learned a lot of life lessons the hard way and Im a better person for it.

A good run of hard luck has changed a lot in my life.

I know that if I truly want to be successful I'll do it with what I have at my disposal. But to step over dollars to pick up dimes is just asinine to me in some ways.
