I didn't have time to get a shot of where the road made a V. I could see my trailer axles. Kinda thought for a second about the trailer leaning over when the fifth wheel pivots and catching the drives.

Doc poor kid didn't have sense enough to hide. Stayed right at my feet

Arkansas River. Hutchinson is on the right side, South Hutchinson on the left. The normal river channel is on the right side of the trees in the middle of all the water. Most days, you can walk across it and it may be knee to waist deep.
My shop is the big blue building on the left side of the picture.
    flood1.jpg

Looking west at 56th street and Pennington Rd, NW of Hutchinson about 3 miles. Pennington runs N/S between the church (left side) and old schoolhouse (right side). The bridge is on the west side of the levee protecting Hutchinson. The 2 track gravel road going N/S along the water is the maintenance rd on top of the dike.

The shop my daughter's fiance works at. Pennington Rd runs N/S just to the right of the building. The church and school (in the above picture) are at the top of this picture towards the right.

They're not expecting the river to crest until sometime Saturday morning, another 12-14" at this point.
