If you think you know the nursing home where this person is at, send a letter care of that nursing home in that town in Germany seeking contact with that person.

You CAN use Google Translate to convert English to German and transfer to wordpad or notepad and print that off and send it.

BE VERY CAREFUL to use like.. kid speak 3rd grade or something doing this. Machine Translating from Google is not.. very precise. The simplest you can speak and write the easier not to have any misunderstanding.

Then wait. If the Nursing home remembers the person you speak of? Then they will forward your letter there in care of. (Make sure you write in care of (Nursing home and German town) the director there will see if such a person exists and forward the letter to that one.

I cannot stress enough how simply and SHORT you must write that first letter. And then write below that in plain American English what you really mean. Someone over there in Germany will translate if necessary. Easy.

In gaming some of my Clans are all over the world several langauges and I have been successful in moving between Russian, to German, to English and even a little French and Dutch. All machine translated by Google in real time on the laptop next to the main gaming machine. And then installing the results into game chat to tolerably resolve whatever the issues the members might have.

But sometimes the people laughed at me very hard because the closest in errors they saw from me would be similar to Arnold in Terminator unable to comprehend some of the niceties of American talk... those are always fun.

I hope this works for you. It takes time. I managed to get in touch with a dear friend in Israel not too long ago after almost a decade of no contact. It worked out well because they converted english and hebrew into something that I could be understood. The return message plainly recognized who I was and that I was remembered in english for me. No problems.

Oh that? Took about 6 weeks. Security and so on is pretty powerful over there.
